Taken in July in central Pennsylvania.  Some sort of russula?  I biked past these several times and finally managed to tote a camera along with me.

I doubt that’s russula. Gills or pores?

I didn’t take any pictures or notes, but if memory serves me it had pores.  And now that I’m looking at pictures of russula’s, looks like russula’s a gilled.  I’ll have to check out the guide that gave me that impression and see if I didn’t misread it or make an assumption on too little info.
